Simple Sewing With Miss Tracy- Classes for Children 4-12

Miss Tracy offers in-home private or small group classes for children beginning with basic concepts and progressing to simple machine sewing.  If your child has always wanted to learn to sew, these classes will offer an age-appropriate, progressive style of learning that is fun and practical!

Classes Offered:

Simple Sewing Basics- Tools and Stitches (6 1-hour sessions)

• Learn the basic tools and stitches required for sewing
• Projects: Sewing Kit, Needle Case, Pin Cushion and Pillow
• Cost- $90 plus a $35 materials fee (class cost reduced if you host a group class in your home)

My Menagerie- Make Fun Stuffed Animals (6 1-hour sessions)

• Learn how to make stuffed animals
• Projects- Simple Stuffy and Colorful Stuffy
• Cost- $90 plus a $25 materials fee (class cost reduced if you host a group class in your home)

Simple Embroidery- Adding Decorative Stitches (10 1-hour sessions)

• Learn a variety of decorative stitches and how to design an embroidered pillow
• Projects- Name Card and Pillow
• Cost- $150 plus a $25 materials fee (class cost reduced if you host a group class in your home)

Simple Costumes (3 1-hour sessions)

• Learn how to create simple costumes
• Projects- depends on students
• Cost- $45 plus a $30 materials fee (class cost reduced if you host a group class in your home)

Simple Clothing 1 (6 1-hour sessions)

• Learn how to make a simple, pattern free clothing
• Projects- skirt, dress and dressy tank top
• Cost- $90, plus student supplied fabric and materials (class cost reduced if you host a group class in your home)
• This class requires a sewing machine

Simple Clothing 2 (6 1-hour sessions)

• Learn how to make a simple clothing pieces with a pattern
• Projects- skirt and apron
• Cost- $90, plus student supplied fabric and materials (class cost reduced if you host a group class in your home)
• This class requires a sewing machine

Simple Quilting 1 (6 1-hour sessions)

• Learn how to make a simple quilt
• Project- small quilt top
• Cost- $90 plus a $25 materials fee (class cost reduced if you host a group class in your home)

Simple Quilting 2 (10 1-hour sessions)

• Learn how to make more advanced quilt patterns using English Paper Piecing
• Project- small quilt top
• $150 plus a $25 materials fee (class cost reduced if you host a group class in your home)

Simple Finishes (6 1-hour sessions)

• Learn a simple way to finish a quilt
• Project- finished quilt
• Cost- $90 plus a $25 materials fee (class cost reduced if you host a group class in your home)
• This class requires a sewing machine

Simple Coaching

• Perfect for students who want to expand beyond the basics
• Project based coaching
• Cost- $15 per 1-hour coaching session (minimum 2 sessions)
