When I started this little project last year, I had the lofty goal of making 12 quilts in 12 months. Well, I didn’t quite make it. I completed two quilts (The Cat Quilt and The Baby Quilt) and have two quilt tops (The Kol Shofar Quilt #1 and The Storybook Quilt) so I wouldn’t call it a failure.
I’ve decided in the new year that I am going to have a different goal. One of my pitfalls last year was creative ennui that would keep me from sewing for weeks on end. This year my goal is to spend at least 30 minutes a day sewing. I figure that if I can commit to that, I can complete at least twice as many projects. It is going to be tricky, but I am going to try it out this month to see how it feels.
I’ve already spent much of 2012 sewing, working mainly on the 1930’s Hexagon Quilt. One thing helping, is my awesome new sewing box.
OK, so it really is the collectors tin that my Chrismukkah present came in, but it works very well:
So, here’s to a new year and a new plan!
